The Gift House is a grass roots community based organization. This organization has been providing HIV and STD testing, drug counseling, career development, health and educational counseling for nearly seven years.

In August of 1998, two nurses, a handful of local residents, and community leaders organized The Gift House. This small yet concerned group of local residents created and developed The Gift House to be a powerful informational resource designed to educate and inform at-risk-populations in the community of communicable diseases. The Gift House has developed a solid informational and testing program structured to help impoverished areas, hard-to-reach individuals, and at-risk-populations learn of HIV and STD education and healthy living practices.  

This organization also assists in the facilitation of job placement and pre-employment skills training. Since The Gift House’s inception, the organization has helped more than 700 disadvantaged individuals secure quality employment opportunities through its collaboration with the business community, and thousands more improve their lives by way of a safe and healthy life style. In deed, we are the true Gift House.
